How to verify my wallet backup?

    In order to verify your wallet backup to the following:
    • Plug your microSD card wallet backup into your BitBox01
    • Open latest BitBoxApp 
    • Plug your BitBox01 into your Computer
    • Unlock your BitBox01
    • Go to "Manage Device" > "Manage Backups"
    • Select the wallet backup file that you want to verify (in most cases just one file will be displayed)
    • Enter the backup recovery password associated with that wallet.
    • Click "Check backup"

    If the wallet backup file plus the recovery password you entered generates the same wallet as you are currently using on your BitBox01, the BitBoxApp will say: “Backup matches the wallet.” 
    This means you have successfully verified your current BitBox01 wallet

    If you input a different recovery password, i.e. not the exact same one as you chose when you created the wallet, the BitBoxApp will say: “Backup does NOT match the wallet.” 
    This means you have failed to verify your current BitBox01 wallet. Please try again with a different recovery password. You can try this as often as you like.
